Electronic Prescription System

The electronic prescription service (eps) is a NHS service that allows your doctor surgery to send your prescription(s) directly to your nominated pharmacy electronically. This means that you no longer need to visit your doctor surgery to pick up your prescription(s) and drop it off at the pharmacy.

How does it work?

  1. Order your repeat prescription as normal.

  2. Your doctor surgery will send your prescription to your nominated pharmacy.

  3. Once your prescription is ready, you can collect it from the pharmacy.

If you want us to manage your repeat prescription, now you can nominate us online through our website. Alternatively, you can visit us in-store or let your gp surgery know. Nominate our pharmacy online (link to PDS questionnaire/or log in as user)

Benefits of signing up

  • No longer visit the GP to collect your prescription.

  • Low waiting times and quick delivery.

  • You can sign up to our text messaging service, so the Pharmacy notify you once it is ready for collection/delivery.

  • When you receive any new medication, the pharmacist will ask if you would like to be contacted around 14 days after starting the medication, to ensure that you are okay with the new medication and if you are experiencing any side effects.

  • Benefit of using all Pharmacy NHS Services free of charge.
